Step outside for a moment.

The night air is crisp and clean. Above you, snow-dusted pines stretch toward a sky full of stars, and somewhere close by, a fire is burning. You pull your coat a little tighter and follow the scent of smoke.

Around you, the scent of fir needle opens, bright, green, and immediately reviving. Hints of black pepper pass you by. Together they fill your lungs with the particular clarity that takes the edge off the cold and makes you want to sink deeper into the forest.

As you step further into the trees, the air changes.

Cypress and smoky woods gather at the heart, rich and resinous, ancient in the way that only forests can be. The subtle scent of smoke drifts toward you, inviting you to keep walking. You follow it without hesitation.

The base rises, and you are almost there.

Cedarwood opens slowly beneath your feet, solid and grounding, the scent of something that has weathered every season. Amber wraps around you gently, drawing the cold out and softening the world around you. Up ahead you see a light flickering through a window. The warmth reaches you before the door does.

You step inside, cheeks flushed, heart full. Outside, the pines protect you as you rest.
